For those who missed Dr. B.M. Hegde’s speech in Bahrain:

1. Kai kuttal rice ( Mota rice) is best
2. Millet is only to FC Market the product
3. Fasting is good. After 2 pm lunch go for b/f next day
4. Coconut/ground nut oil are good
5. Chekku oil / compressed oil is not good
6. Non veg in stomach for long time leads to cancer
7. Butter ghee good but not milk
8. Microwave oven is good for cooking- no cancer
9. Mango is good for diabetic but eat only during season
10. Fruit with meal increases the calories count
11. Evenings… eat as less as much as possible
12. Apple coated with wax: wash with soap.. don’t peel skin
13. Even Just a peg of alcohol is unhealthy
14. Brown sugar good.. jaggery is good
15. cheese not good … paneer to some extent is good but better to avoid it
16. drinking Water daily: 30 ml per kg of our weight is good
17. Multi vitamins etc to be avoided
18. More calcium will lead to loss of calcium and so walk as much as possible
19. Walking after meal not good
20. Walking with empty stomach good
21. Just normal walking is good
22. Jogging people are mad
23. Treadmill not good
24. Keep your mind calm to avoid heart attack
25. Statin tablets kill you faster
26. Keep water in open sun and drink
27. Statin is poison and Drs are not correct. They are out of reach of reality
28. Water from silver vessel very good for sour throat
29. Be compassionate to avoid heart attack
30. Unhealthy mind = inflammation of heart
31. Google Canadian Medical Association to know your best Dr
32. Early to bed early to rise is healthy
33. 4 to 5 hrs sleep is enough
34. Low blood sugar: eat better
35. Rock salt etc are just marketing
36. Walking is the only best exercise (30 mins: enough 1 hr: good)
37. Gym is bad
38. Sports for kids good
39. Gulf food is very rich in Uric acid
40. Knee pain is due to abuse of knee ( posture)
41. Uncooked vegetables are good
42. Constipation is due to dehydration and so drink plenty of water
43. Drinking water with sitting/standing posture etc is ok
44. Avoid non veg food
45. Older you are higher the chance of cancer
46. Lime cures cancer? No
47. Exercise is the best alternative for statin tablets
48. wheat is better than rice or vice versa? It’s just myth
49. Anything in moderate is fine ( even maida)
50. Regular check up is not necessary. Only if you have symptoms then see Dr
51. Long use of Panadol is bad
52. There is no pil for every ill and there is ill for every pil
53. One flour is better than multi grain. You know what you eat
